On Newsfeed Now for March 22, we started off with March Madness! When your team is on the hardwood and you’re stuck at work, it doesn’t have to affect your productivity, rather it should boost your energy because you’ll be rooting for your team! KARK’s Michael Esparza shared tips and hacks for catching all the action.
At the 3:30 mark we took you to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where a man has been released from prison after 36 years for a crime he didn’t commit. In a report from WVLA we got details about the wrongful conviction in a 1980’s rape case that has been overturned and given the man his freedom.
We then made a stop in Branson, Missouri at 7:15 into the show. That’s where many people have been wondering what’s next for the “Ride the Ducks” attraction after last summer’s tragedy. Ripley’s Entertainment says they’re bringing a new attraction to that property on the Branson Strip. KOLR’s Chrystal Blair joined us with details on what’s replacing Ride the Ducks.
And we tempted your taste buds at 13:15 with our final story that might have you hitting the road for Memphis. That’s where a shop called O’Taste and See Pies and Quiches has been named as the maker of the Best Pie in Tennessee. WATN’s Parker Hays told us about the best-selling pie for the shop and an addictive beverage on the menu.
