On Newsfeed Now for Feb. 19, our first subject, the supermoon. Just two months into 2019 – and we just had our biggest supermoon of the year. KTVE Meteorologist Reid Lybarger shared details on the science behind the phenomenon.
Next up, we traveled to Mobile, Ala. to discuss a newspaper publisher’s editorial that begins “Time for the Ku Klux Klan to night ride again.” You can imagine the reaction it’s getting after social media got wind of it. WKRG’s Bill Riales joined the conversation with local reaction.
Then, we asked can you beat cancer without chemo? A Tennessee man says yes. Chris Wark wrote a book about his victory. He says changing the way he eats was a big factor. The assignment was very personal for WATN’s Jeni DiPrizio, who talked about her own battle with cancer and what she has learned on her journey to being cancer-free.
Our final story took us to New Iberia, La. where a 90-year-old welder says he’s not quitting his craft anytime soon. His interest in the profession was “sparked” at the age of 17. KLFY’s Renee Allen tells us why he’s not ready to put down his torch.
