OZARK, Mo. — The Waterford neighborhood of Ozark (Christian County) has suffered severe damage from Tuesday evening storms.

One neighbor said the storm rolled through at about 9 p.m. Recounting the damage, he said he felt lucky to be alive.

The same man went door-to-door to check on neighbors and even went so far as to help one woman who was injured get to a hospital.

Debris is scattered about the neighborhood and many houses are in shambles.

Some houses, with minimal exterior damage are suffering from heavy water damage inside.

Ozark Schools have been let out so that families who live in the neighborhood can take the time to do a head count and see what is salvagable from the storm.
