Cryer’s put up 20 touchdowns and has more than 5 100 yard rushing games.
“My line makes me look good,” said Cryer. “They don’t get all the credit, but they are doing all the little things right, and they work really hard.”
Cryer is part of a cast of characters who went 11-1 this year. The only loss coming at the hands of Catholic Baton Rouge… a team playing for the Division 1 State Championship.
Will says the key to this teams overall success: teamwork.
“Our attention to detail in practice, we are perfectionists,” he added. “If we don’t do something right, we have to do it again. We do everything we can to get all the little things right, and that helps to put together the big picture.”
STM Head Coach Jim Hightower knows this team has something special in Cryer,
“He the first one in the locker room before practice and the last guy off the field,” said Hightower. “He does everything the right way. He comes to play every game and every practice. He’s a special player. every minute at practice is spent get ready for the games.”
Just one game remains, the Division Two State Championship game on Friday December 7th at 3:30 p.m. in the Superdome.
