The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns golf team will host some of the top teams in the country beginning Monday when the 34th annual Louisiana Classics tees off at Oakbourne Country Club.
 
Play on the par-72, 6,866-yard course will begin on Monday with a 36-hole shotgun start at 8 a.m., with the final 18 holes being played on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. A free, live video stream from Hole No. 9 will be available on RaginCajuns.com, with live results available on GolfStat.com.
 
Louisiana, a two-time team champion in the event, will be joined by No. 29-ranked Illinois, No. 61 Kent State, Louisiana Tech, McNeese State, UMKC, No. 65 North Texas, Oral Roberts, Rice, Sam Houston State, Southern Miss, Texas State, Toledo, No. 77 UTSA and Wichita State.
 
The Ragin’ Cajuns will be paired with five-time champion Illinois, 2017 champion Kent State and North Texas during the opening two rounds on Monday.
 
Leading the Louisiana lineup during the 54-hole event is freshman Charlie Flynn who has played a team-high 18 rounds during the 2018-19 season with a 73.61 scoring average. Micah Goulas (73.43), Jack Tolson (73.93), Hudson Dubinski (75.56) and Colin Troxler (72.67) will round out the Ragin’ Cajuns five-man lineup.
 
Bjorn Gudjonsson (75.0), Peter Hinnant (73.67), Triston Elston (74.0), Justin Caldwell (78.33) and Cole Kendrick (76.42 in 2017-18) will all compete individually for Louisiana.
 
A pair of 2018 All-Tournament selections – Bryan Baumgarten of Illinois and Blake Elliott of McNeese – are among an 87-player field.
