Saturday is the Ragin’ Cajuns’ last home football game of the season, and it’s senior night. Twenty-six student athletes will be honored before kick off tomorrow.
“General admission tickets are only $10. It’s one final good deal for fans to enjoy,” says Patrick Crawford with UL Athletics. “If you are still on the fence about coming out to the game on Saturday, get yourself a $10 ticket and come in to enjoy the festivities.”
If the Cajuns win they could be headed to a bowl game, and the team would like to see a packed stadium come Saturday. Crawford says, “This season, as well as heading into future seasons, we’ve had several promotions for students especially. We have a tailgate. It goes on down the road, down Cajundome Boulevard that students are welcome to participate in every home Saturday game.”
Crawford says they are always looking for ways to make the fan experience better. “Over my shoulder is the graduates sport bar. That’s a special area, open to all fans, more so tailored to students that have special drink prices, special food prices and there’s always a DJ playing.”
News 10 ran into some early tailgaters Friday, who said they were getting a headstart for Saturday. Mike Mitchell says, “We love to support our team and we are going to be here. If the Cajuns are playing, we are here.”
Tomorrow’s kickoff is set for 4 p.m. If you’d like to tailgate tomorrow but don’t have a spot, you can go to Russo Park, the UL baseball field is an open tailgate area.
Everyone is invited.
