It was not the Saints best showing, especially at home at the Superdome.
Carolina came in, with a backup quarterback, and stole the last regular season game 33-14.
There were a lot of aspects about this game that felt like a preseason game. Many Saints, including Drew Brees, were inactive and the outcome of this game didn’t exactly matter.
At the end of the day, there were no major injuries and the Saints head into the playoffs in relatively good health.
But this is still a game in the loss column. A loss is a loss and it’s fair to say that no one on this New Orleans team likes losing.
