The Saints are fortunate enough to start the post-season with a bye.

However, this isn’t your normal bye week, since the team doesn’t know who they’ll face in the second round of the playoffs. They are not able to game plan for one specific team. 

Instead, they will use this bye week as a time to focus on themselves. 

“It’s a position you want to be in,” said Drew Brees. “Rest and recovery… that’s the benefit of a bye week.”

“We’re really focused on ourselves right now,” continued Brees, “Getting guys rested, getting guys recovered.”
