LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) Lafayette Christian Academy’s Megan Abrams led the Lady Knights to a state championship.
This year, she continues to lead her team.
As Abrams hopes to get another state title, she earns the title of athlete of the week.
“We have a lot of young talent on this team lot of younger girls so I just want to make sure that I’m being a good leader and we’re off to a pretty good start,” Abrams says.
“She brings leadership, a very diverse player, she can shoot the three, the best thing that she does is get to the rim and she can pass the ball, she can find the open person,” says head coach Errol Rogers.
Abrams says the goal remains this season, get back to the top 28 and defend their title.
“We all have that winner’s mentality whether it comes to basketball, football boys or girls so we’ve been there before both boys and girls, it’s definitely an honor to get there so we want to get there again this year,” she explains.
