Junior infielders Blake Trahan and Stefan Trosclair picked up another accolade this past weekend as the pair was selected to the 2015 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. I All-America teams, the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced on Saturday.
Trosclair was tabbed to the ABCA/Rawlings second team, while Trahan was named to the third team. The All-America selection for Trosclair is his third of the season as he was named a third team All-American by both Collegiate Baseball and D1Baseball.
Trahan, a third round draft pick by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2015 MLB Draft, earns his second All-America honor of the year. The Kinder, La., native has had multiple All-America selections in all three seasons with Louisiana.
On the year, Trosclair had a team-best 16 home runs, 53 RBI and a .6345 slugging percentage to go with a .338 average and 15 doubles. Trosclair, a first team All-Sun Belt selection, was second on the squad with 15 stolen bases and had .441 on base percentage.
Trahan finished the season with a .315 average posting a team-high 17 stolen bases with 15 doubles, two home runs and 29 RBI.
