LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletic Director Scott Farmer resigned from his position at a press conference this afternoon.

Farmer had held the position for the past five years. He explained he is stepping down to take a teaching position in the university’s School of Kinesiology.

Deputy Director Jessica Leger will serve as the interim athletic director as the university searches for a new athletic director.

“We are grateful to Scott for his years of valuable service as our Director of Athletics,” University President Dr. E.
