Righty Wyatt Marks will start Game 1 of the NCAA Baton Rouge Super Regional on Saturday night at No. 1-ranked LSU for No. 16 UL and lefty Gunner Leger will start Game 2 on Sunday night, the Ragin’ Cajuns have announced.

Both are true freshmen and have been regular weekend starters for the Cajuns, with Leger usually working Friday nights.

Marks, from St. Thomas More High, started UL’s Houston Regional opening game 7-6 win over Rice.

Leger, a Barbe High product, started the Cajuns’ second of three wins in the Regional, a 2-1 victory over host and No. 1 Regional seed Houston.

UL advanced to the Super Regional by beating Rice 5-2 last Monday with fellow true freshman Evan Guillory starting on the mound.
