LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)- From backpacks to shoes and clothes, back to school shopping is in full force.
“They say kids are expensive, but they ultimately spend,”said store manager Taylor Castille.
When it comes to back to school spending nationwide, the National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights and Analytics conducted a recent survey that forecasted families with children in elementary through high school spend an average of $649.79 per child for a total of $55.3 billion, which is an all-time high.
Tracy Hall said as a parent budget does not matter when its comes shopping for new school items.
“Kids today want what they want. We try to accommodate them,” said Hall.
