NEW ORLEANS – Firefighters say no one was hurt in a massive 3-alarm fire in the Bayou St. John area of Mid City early Monday morning. While the fire has been contained, firefighters remain at the scene.
New Orleans Fire Department Chief Tim McConnell said the fire started just before 5 a.m. at a warehouse that housed three businesses near the intersection of Toulouse Street and North Jefferson Davis Parkway.

A second alarm was called one minute after firefighters arrived at the scene. A third alarm was called a short time later. McConnell said 60 firefighters responded to the scene with at least a dozen firetrucks.
