The Lafayette Fire Department is investigating a house fire at the intersection of Pinhook and Gauthier Road.

Fire Officials say that when they arrived, heavy flames showed up from the home of the roof.

The home was brought under control within 20 minutes; it took heavy fire damage.

The home was vacant at the time of the fire and no one was hurt.

Fire officials say the fire was being renovated.
