Carlos and Shavis Toby appeared in court Thursday. The brothers were charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a local boxer, Brandon Broussard. Judge Michot did not get a chance to hear pleas from the Toby’s. We called the clerk of court for the new court date but because of a water leak at the courthouse, their office closed early but we will follow later this morning.
