St. Martinville Police have made a second arrest in the mid-morning armed robbery at Races and Aces Casino on February 5.  

The robbery happened around 11 a.m., according to Police Chief Ricky Martin.

Devon Bourda has been arrested in Texas, according to Martin, and is awaiting transport back to St Martinville. 

According to Martin, he got away with roughly $2900 in a matter of minutes after reportedly walking into the casino, brandished a weapon, walked past the security guard, checked the security guard for weapons, grabbed his panic alarm, then goes to the cashier and grabs her apron.

Days following the robbery, police arrested Payton Byrd, who they say was working as the security guard of the casino at the time of the robbery.
