BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — A winning Mega Millions lottery ticket sold in Lake Charles for the Sept. 4 drawing has yet to be claimed.

Louisiana lottery officials said Friday that no one has stepped forward to claim the $10,000 prize and the ticket expires March 3.

The ticket, sold at More 4 Less on Nelson Road, matched four of the five numbers drawn and the Mega Ball to win.

The numbers were: 2, 7, 25, 35, 44 and Mega Ball 3.

The winning ticket holder has until 5 p.m. Friday, March 1 to claim the prize because the actual expiration date falls on a weekend.

If no one comes forward, the money will go into the lottery’s unclaimed prize fund and be returned to players in increased payouts on scratch-off games and player promotions.
