Rayne Police Chief Carroll Stelly says the the entire city is experiencing a complete power outage.

Stelly did not say what caused the outage or when he expects the power to be restored.

The Police Chief of Duson, Kip Judice, has also just confirmed with News 10 that the entire city of Duson is in the dark.

Judice said he has been in contact with Entergy officials and has extra patrolman on duty to handle any emergencies.

Drivers are reminded to treat each intersection with a down traffic light as a “four-way yield” rather than a four-way stop, which would require every vehicle to stop at the intersection even when they don’t need to.

If two vehicles enter an intersection on different roads at roughly the same time, the driver of the vehicle on the left should yield to the other vehicle.
