LAFAYETTE PARISH, La. (KLFY)- Scott Fire Department is currently on the scene of a vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler dump truck on Interstate 10 Westbound at Mile Marker 99.
All lanes are open on I-10 West past Ambassador Caffery. Congestion is currently four miles in length.

The fire is out, however cleanup is continuing, Scott Fire Chief Chad Sonnier said.
Please avoid Interstate 10 in both directions, as a result of traffic congestion. We will provide updates as they become available.
