A woman is currently being treated for minor injuries after a SUV crashed into a coffee shop, according to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The incident happened around 11:49 this morning, at the Starbucks on East Admiral Doyle Drive in New Iberia.
Cpt. Ryan Turner says a woman was pulling into a parking spot when her brakes reportedly failed.
Her SUV then crashed into the Starbucks. A woman who was sitting at a table inside sustained minor injuries to her knee, according to Cpt. Turner.
The victim was taken to a local hospital. Cpt. Turner says the driver of the SUV will not be cited, as the incident happened on private property.
