The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from a resident that reported a suspicious vehicle on a family farm located on the 2000 block of L. Boudreaux Road near Rayne.
The Sheriff’s office received the complaint shortly before 11 p.m.
According to Sheriff Wayne Melancon, deputies made contact with the driver of a 2012 Ford Pick-up.
When asking the driver for identification, he fled on foot.
The driver of the pick-up was later identified as Douglas Citizen II of Church Point.
Deputies with the Acadia Parish Sheriff, Ryane Police Department and Louisiana State Police searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect.
A warrant of arrest has now been issued for Douglas Citizen.
The passenger in the vehicle was identified as Guy Higginbothan of Church Point and also owner of the vehicle.
Higginbothan was arrested without incident and taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.
