According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 26 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Alfonso Chapa, 39, 228 Mars Rd, Bayou Vista LA, was arrested on February 25, 2015 at 7:46am for domestic abuse battery. A deputy assigned to the Bayou Vista area responded to a report of a disturbance. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Chapa and a female victim were involved in an argument and he struck the female victim in the face. Chapa was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.
Juvenile male, 15, Centerville LA, was arrested on February 25, 2015 at 8:47am on the charge of second-degree battery.
Juvenile male, 15, Franklin LA, was arrested on February 25, 2015 at 8:38am on the charge of disturbing the peace by fighting.
A deputy assigned to patrol the Franklin area was alerted of a fight between two students that occurred at the Centerville High School. As a result of the fight, one of the students was treated at the hospital. Both were later arrested and released to parents pending juvenile court proceedings.
Jonathan Beadle, 24, 427 Charlotte Dr, Patterson LA, was arrested on February 25, 2015 at 5:25pm for the following warrants:
– Warrant for failure to appear on changes of simple battery and 2 counts of aggravated assault
– Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods under $500
– Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery
A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area located Beadle at a residence. Beadle was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.
Matthew Naquin, 23, 28909 West 183rd St, Gardner LA, was arrested on February 25, 2015 at 8:22pm for driving under suspension. A deputy working the Franklin area conducted a traffic stop on Highway 182 in Centerville. The deputy made contact with the driver, Naquin, and discovered that his license was suspended. Naquin was arrested and transported to the parish jail. He was later released after posting a $1,000 bond.
Needron Bernard, 30, 133 Jena St, Charenton LA, was arrested on February 26, 2015 at 2:58am for a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. A deputy in the Franklin area investigating a separate incident came into contact with Bernard and learned of the active warrant. Bernard was arrested and transported to the parish jail. Bail is set at $350.
