Franklin Police Department responded to 6 complaints over the past 24 hours and made the following arrests:
2/12/15 @ 3:47 PM, Sheniquia Jones, 32, of O’Neal Chube, Franklin, LA, was arrested on a warrant dated September 13, 2014, for Simple Assault. Jones was processed and released on a $250.00 bond.
2/12/15 @ 11:32 PM, Terrance Sereal, 26, of Guillotte St., Jeanerette, LA, was arrested and charged with Simple Battery. Sereal was processed and held on a $500.00 bond.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office
February 13, 2015
According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 33 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Juvenile male, 16, Patterson LA, was arrested on February 12, 2015 at 8:21am for disturbing the peace and ungovernable juvenile. Deputies responded to a disturbance call at the Patterson High School. The deputies learned that the juvenile male was cursing at several teachers in an attempt to get kicked out of the school. The juvenile was arrested and released to his parent pending juvenile court proceedings.
James Blevins, 43, 10671 Highway 182 Lot# 20, Amelia LA, was arrested on February 12, 2015 at 4:5pm for illegal possession of burglary tools and 3 counts of attempted burglary. Deputies patrolling the Amelia area were called to the scene of a burglary at a residence. Upon the responding deputy’s arrival, he was immediately directed to a male subject walking near the residence. The male, identified as Blevins, was then searched for weapons. Blevins had in his possession, needle nose pliers. The crime scene was then processed and found to have tools markings and pry marks on the home’s exterior that were consistent with the needle nose pliers Blevins had in his possession. In an interview conducted with Blevins, he admitted to attempting to break into an Amelia business and a residence earlier in the week. Blevins was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.
Juvenile male, 15, Jeanerette LA, was arrested on February 12, 2015 at 4:43pm on the charge of ungovernable juvenile. A deputy patrolling the Jeanerette area was dispatched to the juvenile’s home for a disturbance. The deputy learned that the juvenile was the subject of the call and arrested him. The juvenile was later released to a parent pending juvenile court proceedings.
Edward Francois, 32, 919 ½ Railroad Ave, Morgan City LA, was arrested on February 12, 2015 at 6:14pm on two warrants for probation violation, both on charges of possession of marijuana. Francois was transported from the Terrebonne Parish Jail to the Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. He was released on a $20,000 bond.
