3/10/15 @ 2:10 AM, Nathan Thomas III, 38, of Eleventh St., Franklin, LA, was arrested and charged with Possession of Schedule I Narcotics (Synthetic Cannabinoids)- 2nd Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia- 2nd Offense, and Abuse of Toxic Vapors. Thomas was processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Jordan Gant, 25, 200 Cleveland Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on March 9, 2015 at 2:08 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal mischief. A deputy made contact with Gant at a residence on Highway 317 in Centerville and learned of the active warrant for his arrest. The deputy transported Gant to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Matthew Oquain, 29, 613 Lonely Oak Lane, Morgan City, LA was arrested on March 9, 2015 at 4:47 am for reckless operation of a vehicle, hit and run driving, and no drivers license on person. During the subsequent investigation, the deputy located the truck suspected of hitting a parked vehicle on Lonely Oak Lane. The deputy identified Oquain as the operator of the vehicle and found damages to his truck consistent with the crash. The deputy transported Oquain to the parish jail for booking. Oquain was later released on a $1,750 bond.

Sherry L. Cooper, 29, 101 Southwest Street Lot #3, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 9, 2015 at 4:20 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Cooper at her residence on the warrant. The deputy released Cooper on a summons to appear in court on June 17, 2015.

Jason Cavalier, 148 Cremo Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on March9, 2015 at 4:46 pm on a warrant for simple criminal damage to property. A deputy made contact with Cavalier who was walking on Highway 182 near Mill Road and learned of the active warrant for his arrest. The warrant is the result of an investigation into a complaint of a fight received in February. The deputy working the case learned that Cavalier broke a radio by throwing it to the ground during an argument at a residence in the Patterson area. Cavalier was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $250.

Adam M. Partin, 37, 628 Seventy-Nine Pines, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 10, 2015 at 12:50 am for simple battery. A deputy assigned to patrol the Bayou Vista area responded to a report of a fight in progress on Highway made contact with in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Partin grabbed a female victim and threw her to the ground during an argument. The deputy transported Partin to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a $500 bond.

The following arrest was made on March 8, 2015.

Joshua Perro, 26, 179 Eves Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested at 8:22 pm on a warrant for aggravated battery. A deputy located Perro at his residence after Perro contacted the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office stating that he wanted to turn himself in on the active warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint of a disturbance at a residence in Jeanerette. Perro struck a female victim in the face with a bucket during an argument. The deputy transported Perro to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $20,000.

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

Devin Barthelemy, 22, 109 Diane Lane Patterson, LA was arrested on March 9, 2015 at 3:17 pm on a warrant for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives contacted Barthelemy who agreed to meet at a business in Berwick to turn himself on an active warrant for his arrest. Following his arrest, detectives released Barthelemy on a summons to appear in court on June 17, 2015.
