Two schools were on lockdown for about 4-5 hours on Thursday.
Shortly after 2:30p.m., the lockdown was lifted for St. Edmund Elementary and Edmund High School.
Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot says that precautionary measures were taken due an incident that took place around the school.
The students were not in danger.
An arrest was made in this incident.
