A Breaux Bridge couple is now in jail after narcotics agents found several illegal drugs in their home, according to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Major Ginny Higgins said agents were executing a search warrant at the couple’s home in the 1700 block of Grande Anse Highway when they discovered the drugs.

Agents seized several illegal drugs, including methamphetamine, along with materials used to package and sell the drugs.

Both were booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:

Brandon Scrantz, 33:

  • 1 Count of Possession with the intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine)
  • 2 Counts of Possession of Schedule IV CDS
  • 1 Count of Illegal Carrying of Weapons
  • 1 Count of Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses
  • 1 Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Jodi Lasseigne, 22:

  • 1 Count of Possession of Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine)
  • 1 Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
