A 34-year-old Duson woman was killed in a traffic crash Monday (October 12) in the 300 Block of Rue De Belier, according to Scott police.
Yolanda Brown died after being transported to a local hospital around 6:25 am. Police say she was hit by a pickup truck that initiated a left turn in front of her car.
The driver of the pickup truck was a juvenile and was transported to an area hospital then released without sustaining any major injuries, according to police.
An investigation has determined that Brown was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. An investigation remains ongoing.
