BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) – A former Baton Rouge lawyer who admitted last year that he received child pornography over a three-year period has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison and ordered to pay $22,000 in fines and restitution.

The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/1FXIhOS ) 62-year-old William Steven Mannear permanently resigned from the practice of law in July and pleaded guilty in August to receiving child porn from at least August 2009 through September 2012.

U.S. Attorney Walt Green said Thursday the FBI and East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies searched Mannear’s house, law firm and car in March 2013 and seized two computers belonging to him that contained a large amount of child porn,

U.S. District Judge Shelly Dick said Mannear will be on supervised release for five years after his release from prison.
