The Lafayette Parish Courthouse will be closed Friday, July 24, 2015 due to the 1st and 2nd floor offices and staff moving to the 6th and 7th floor.  According to Clerk of Court Louis Perret, the scope of the move is very large and the premises have been deemed hazardous and unsafe for the public.

Hundreds of people including judges, attorneys, courthouse employees and the public enter through the courthouse daily.  Anyone who had business at the courthouse on Friday has been rescheduled.  The courthouse will re-open Monday, July 27, 2015 @ 8:30 a.m.
