Scott Mowry, 57, of 6310 Coteau Lot #28, New Iberia, was arrested on 35 counts of possessing pornography involving juveniles. Investigators executed a search of Mowry’s residence where they found numerous images of child pornography. He was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail by the Attorney General’s CCU with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations, Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Mowry is charged with violating a state law forbidding a person to produce, distribute, possess, or possess with intent to distribute pornography involving juveniles. If convicted, he faces a possible sentence of 20 years in prison on each count.The Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit has investigated thousands of computer crimes which have victimized children from infants to 17 years of age.
