Mayor Johnny Thibodeaux has stated that they will select a new chief next Tuesday, March 17th.Currently, the list of candidates have been narrowed down to five. Mayor Thibodeaux said the application period was opened up twice. During the first period, Arnold Ceaser, Norley Stelly, Eddie Guidry, and Acting Police Chief Joe Caillet.During the second period, Kip Judice submitted an application for the police chief position.
