Some Opelousas firefighters were wearing pink on Thursday.

This is the second year firefighters are wearing pink t-shirts all in honor of breast cancer awareness month.

The firefighters say they have personal ties to people who have suffered with breast cancer. This is the way they’re raising awareness about the disease.
