LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Police are still searching for the suspect who allegedly opened fire and injured three people early Sunday morning on Jefferson Street in downtown Lafayette.

Corporal Paul Mouton said two of the victims, who are two men both in their early 20s, were released from the hospital today.

One was shot in the neck and the other was in the hand. A third victim, who was shot in the head, remains in the hospital in critical condition.

Mouton said police do not have any leads on a suspect and are asking anyone who might have witnessed the shooting or recorded it on their cell phones to come forward.

The victims are from Lafayette, Rayne and Grand Coteau.
