Vinyl lovers rejoice. Baton Rouge company Lagniappe Records is packing up and moving to the Hub City.
The record store announced its decision to relocate via Facebook on Tuesday.
“As of July 26th, we will be moving from our present location in Baton Rouge to a new location in downtown Lafayette,” owners Tess Brunet and Patrick Hodgkins said. “The situation as a whole is equally heartbreaking as it is exciting. We will post more information as details become available. In the meantime, we will continue operating normal business hours at our current location.”
The store is currently located at 705 St. Joseph Street. It will be moving into commercial space at 313 Jefferson Street.
The store has been open in Baton Rouge for about a year and served as a live music venue. The business will continue to host live shows at its new location, the owners said.
