Some residents in Arnaudville are outraged that they are still without natural gas.

We were able to speak with some residents over the phone about the loss of service and they say the weekend has been long, cold and believe the town should be better prepared.

Over 500 customers lost natural gas service on Friday thanks to the natural gas distribution system losing all pressure because of a relief valve. Utilities supervisor Ron Turner says they were able to restore businesses and many residents on Saturday and Sunday.

But it is still a long process, as they have to turn each meter on individually. Turner says he hopes to have all customers’ gas restored by Monday.
