The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office confirms the suspect of their ongoing manhunt killed a dog and threatened to kill a church pastor and his congregation.
Messer also claimed he would kill any law enforcement officer that tried to arrest him.
Sheriff Eddie Soileau says Messer, “made it clear that he would not be taken alive.”
Deputies are still searching for Brandon Messer, 28. He is considered armed and dangerous
Local residents are still advised to keep all doors of homes and vehicles locked until further notice.
Messer is described as a “white male, weighing 145 lbs; 5’7″ tall with black hair and brown eyes.”
