A fight led to gunfire Saturday night in Opelousas.

Opelousas police say several people began to fight at the Woodside Inn on Saturday when suddenly someone began firing shots in the air. A witness later identified Jacob Jamal Mott (19) as the shooter. Mott was arrested, but no weapon has yet been located. No one was injured in the incident and Mott was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.

Police say the investigation is still open.
