A book signing was held all in celebration of Louisiana’s Creole culture and creoles of the world.

Georgina Dhillon is a Creole of African, Portuguese and French descent.

Currently living in London, Dhillon sought to find the Creoles of the world and write their stories.

As editor of a magazine she founded, she was in Lafayette for a book signing of her creole magazine that highlights Louisiana creoles…on the cover is Louisiana state Representative Vincent Pierre.

Her international magazine is titled, “Kreol: Separated by Water but United by Culture”.

“The slogan of our magazine is ‘Separated by water, united by culture,’ so there are many creoles all over the world, but Louisiana is very special. every time I thought I got over the content and meeting more and more people the more interesting they are.” Dhillon says.

News 10 Anchor Darla Montgomery was featured in Dhillion’s latest issues along with Rep. Pierre.
