With the big game right around the corner stores here in Acadiana are anticipating big sales, especially when it comes to televisions.

Gabe Tony, TV, home theater specialist and manager for best buy says customers don’t waste time gearing up for the Super Bowl. He says folks come in for TV’s as early as December and some even right before kickoff.

According to consumer electronics association, TV makers and retailers depend on the NFL’s main event for big TV spending. The week before the big game comes right behind Black Friday week and the week after Black Friday for the most TV sales.

Andrew Bellard live in Opelousas and he says he refuses to watch another Super Bowl game on his current TV. He plans to have friends and family over for the game, and he says his new fifty-five inch screen TV will be a pleasant surprise for everyone.
