On May 29, 2015, at approximately 3:35 am, Lafayette Police responded to an attempted armed robbery at 1441 SE Evangeline Thruway.  According to the clerk at the hotel, a black male suspect approached the service window wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and a bandana covering his face.  The suspect demanded money, but was refused by the clerk.  The suspect fled the hotel on foot in an unknown direction.  There were no reported injuries during the robbery.

Detectives are encouraging anyone with information about the robbery to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
