Two different fights outside and inside of Opelousas High School on Monday resulted in eight students and one adult being arrested.
Opelousas Police Officer Corey Leger said that three students and one adult were in one fight early in the morning, then five students were arrested in another fight in the afternoon. All those involved were females.
They have been charged with disturbing the peace by fighting, and will be released from jail at the end on Monday afternoon, according to Leger. Leger said that both fights stemmed from different arguments on social media.
