For those who like to plan ahead, here’s a look at Festivals Acadiens et Créoles lineup set for Oct. 9-11 in Girard Park.
Festival de Musique Acadienne originated as the Tribute to Cajun Music Festival. The event was designed to attract and educate the younger generation to the traditional values of the Cajun culture.
Coinciding with Grand Reveil Acadien (The Great Acadian Awakening), the festival includes a look at the 250th anniversary of the Acadians first arrival. You can also visithttp://www.festivalsacadiens.com/music/ for the lineup.
