A local woman is in stable condition after being hit a car early on Thursday morning.

Police responded to the 2400 block of Louisiana Avenue around 7 a.m. The driver was making a left turn into Louisiana Avenue when the 48 year old woman was walking across the street and struck by the vehicle.

The driver will not be cited or arrested for the incident.
