UPDATE, JUNE 12, 2021: Abbeville Police Lt. Jonathan Touchet confirmed Nicole Rice was arrested earlier today. She is being held in the Vermilion Parish Jail on five counts of contempt of court, and one count each of obstruction of justice, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft, reckless operation of a vehicle, hit-and-run and misrepresentation during booking.
UPDATE, JUNE 11, 2021: ABBEVILLE, La (KLFY) — The Abbeville Police Department has identified and issued arrest warrants for the suspect involved in a hit-and-run on S. Lyman St.
Nicole Frederick Rice, of Abbeville, is wanted for felony theft, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, reckless operation, and felony hit and run.
Anyone with knowledge the whereabouts of Ms. Rice is encouraged to contact the Abbeville Police Department.
ORIGINAL, JUNE 10, 2021: The Abbeville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in a hit-and-run.
Lt. Touchet said that the vehicle crashed into a residence on S. Lyman St. after running off the roadway at a high speed.
The vehicle fled the scene, and was majorly damaged on the front end.
