Evangeline Parish public schools will be closed on Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30.

Iberia Parish 

Public schools in Iberia Parish will be closed Monday, August 28, Tuesday, August 29, and Wednesday, August 30.

Jefferson Davis Parish

Jeff Davis Parish public schools will be closed Monday, August 28, Tuesday, August 29, and Wednesday, August 30.

Lafayette Parish

Lafayette Parish public schools will remain closed Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30.

There is the potential for another 6 inches of rain over the next 24 hours, and the threat of flooding is expected to continue.

The Central Office will remain closed as well.

Essential personnel are asked to remain on standby.

A decision about whether or not to remain closed on Wednesday will be made tomorrow.

New bus routes for Gifted and ESL will begin Tuesday, September 5.

St. Landry Parish

St. Landry Parish public schools will be closed on on Tuesday, August 29, and Wednesday, August 30.

St. Martin Parish

St. Martin Parish Schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30.

St. Mary Parish 

St. Mary Parish schools will remain closed on Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30.

Vermilion Parish

Public schools in Vermilion Parish will be closed through Thursday, August 31. School officials will monitor conditions and will make a decision on Friday, Septemeber 1 at a later date.

St. Martin Sunshine Playschool in St. Martinville, LA will be closed on Tuesday, August 29, 2017.

Owens Developmental Learning Center, in St. Martinville, will be closed Tuesday, August 29, 2017

St. Mary Parish and Vermilion Parish Head Start Centers will be closed August 30th and August 31st due to inclement weather, classes will resume for all Head Start children on Friday, Sept. 1st.

St. Mary Parish and Vermilion Parish Head Start Administrative and Center staff will be out on Wed., August 30th and return on Thursday, August 31st to prepare offices and Head Start Centers for clients and Head Start Children’s return on Friday, Sept. 1st, if weather and conditions permit.

Sheperd Monissory School in Port Barre will be closed Wednesday, August 30, 2017.

Kinder Kollege Learning Center in Breaux Bridge will be CLOSED on Wednesday, August 30th.

Colleges and Universities 

McNeese State University will be closed Monday, August 28, Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30.

University of Louisiana at Lafayette – will be closed Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30.

All South Louisiana Community College campuses and sites will be closed Wednesday, August 30. The college expects to open and resume classes on Thursday, August 31.

Unitech Training Academy’s classes are canceled for Tuesday, August 29th and  Wednesday, August 30th.

However, New Student Orientation classes will be held tomorrow.  Administrative staff will report for regular hours of operation unless otherwise instructed.

LSU, LSU Lab School and Childcare Center will be closed on Wednesday, Aug. 30. Changes in the forecast over the past few hours have necessitated the closure. The LSU Emergency Operations Center is monitoring the situation and will update as needed. Please visit www.lsu.edu for updates.

Essential university personnel should report to work.

LSU Eunice will close Wednesday, August 30. This includes programs at LGMCSW, the Academy and at LSUA.
