(Press release)- Today, Senator Gerald Boudreaux announced his plans to run for re-election to the Louisiana State Senate. He currently serves as the senator for District 24, representing portions of Lafayette, St. Landry and St. Martin parishes.

“I humbly request your continued assistance and support as I announce my intentions to serve a second term representing you – the people of St. Landry, St. Martin and Lafayette Parishes – in the Louisiana State Senate. While we have provided a solid financial plan for the state to prosper, there is still much work that has not yet been completed. I look forward to engaging all of the stakeholders in the district to ensure our success and improve the quality of life for all of our citizens. It has truly been an honor and a pleasure to serve and work for you these past four years.”

Looking ahead to his second term in office, Senator Boudreaux plans to specifically address shortcomings in education, access to quality healthcare, and overall economic development within the district. He looks forward to the opportunity to continue serving the people of Lafayette, St. Landry, and St. Martin parishes as well as the state of Louisiana.
