LAFAYETTE, La. *The following is a press release announcing Roddy Bergeron’s run for Lafayette Parish Council:
Local community leader, Roddy Bergeron, will formally announce his candidacy for the Lafayette Parish Council for the October 12, 2019, election at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Pete’s on Johnston Street.
Bergeron will be running to ensure that the community initiates its new parish council on the right footing and to help restore community trust in local government.
Roddy understands our parish faces multiple issues including poor drainage, deteriorating roads, fiscal shortfalls, and a lack of business opportunities.
One major priority for Bergeron is establishing a smarter, fiscally sustainable plan to handle drainage for our parish.
Roddy believes he can affect those changes.
Bergeron feels that the constituents of Lafayette Parish deserve a fresh approach to the way the local government works to resolve these issues.
He plans to seek creative ways to reinvigorate business opportunities in the Parish and improve quality of life, all while maintaining fairness in taxation.
The people of Lafayette Parish and District 4 deserve fair representation on the new Parish Council. Roddy Bergeron humbly asks the people of District 4 for the opportunity to serve them and promises his courageous, selfless leadership.
By working together and looking for creative ways to fix the issues in Lafayette Parish, Roddy believes we can advance the interests of all citizens of Lafayette Parish.
